Cairn monthly subscription came in early this month. It came in with a Newsletter, a sticker, 1 Mountain House dry food Turkey Casserole, 1 Cusa Tea that comes with 10 servings of 2 English breakfast, 2 green tea, 2 lemon black, 2 mango green and 2 oolong, 1 Natti Bar: Pure banana 100% natural non-gmo gluten free, and 1 Outdoor Edge Chowpal.
This month came in camping kind of theme, which is fun to go along with the season. What I like about this month’s item was the Cusa Tea and the Outdoor Edge Chowpal. Let me tell you how obsess I am with tea. I drink it everyday and to have Cairn feature them this month is by far my honor to try it out. My 2 favorite teas are the English Breakfast and the Oolong.
The Outdoor Edge Chowpal is very interesting. It’s pretty high tech for me to use first of all. It has everything I need to bring for a backpacking trip. It is like a pocket knife, but it has a fork and spoon with it. It’s more like a multi use item that can open a beer bottle and some other features along with it. I probably going to use the fork and the spoon far more than the others things on it.

Hello guys, this weekend I took my good co worker with me to Lewis Creek Trail in Oakhurst to see Corlieu Falls. It was beautiful and the running waterfall was our tranquility to rejuvenate our soul. She loved it and was hoping we can do an all day hike on our next adventure.
Check out my full review of this trail here.
My weekend consisted of family reunion and a HOT mini hike with my toddlers. We visited my family in Oroville, California. Roughly four hours to get there. It was my cousin’s baby shower. She is expecting a baby boy in July. I’m so excited for her journey to motherhood. She will love and enjoy every moment of it. It was wonderful to see everyone, however I would like to share our mini hike to the North Table Mountain Ecological Reserve.
The North Table Mountain Ecological Reserve actually leads to a few waterfalls. It was the hottest day to hike. It was 100 degrees. The mountain feels like Pincushion Mountain. It feels like home. The only difference was the formation of the rocks. There were patches of them on a few foothills. There was a stream of water. It looks like it was from the natural spring water, but who knows it may not be.
Soon after we cross over the patches of rocks, we came to a trail to the meadow. Grasshoppers hopped left to right. My toddlers were confused. They have not seen grasshoppers before. I told them they are jumping insects. That’s close enough right? My girls chase after them. One trying to get them with their bare hands and the other stomping their feet. We can hear them jumped.
Unfortunately, we didn’t get to the trees and to the water, we turned back. It was too hot and maybe next time when I visit my family, we can go together. Since my toddlers were with me, a lot of my mini hikes with them are incomplete. Mini hike with my toddlers are only .25 miles. That was roughly how far our trip with them until they are ready for longer hikes and much older.
