Eastman Lake Trail Review

A few days ago, I led a hike to Eastman Lake at the Wildlife Management Area. The trail is located in the Madera county, west side of Eastman Lake. The trail was right along the lake.

I would rate this trail moderate. Not too hard and not to easy. It was just about right. The trail was short. I would say it’s roughly 2 miles. What I love about this trail was the wild flowers and the view to the lake. It was calm and relaxing. Also, the foothills was amazing. I felt like I was in Scotland. The evergreen grass and the large boulders took me there, but I’m hoping, maybe one day, I would get a chance to tour Scotland and see beautiful mountain view.

Last but not least, my overall experience with the Wildlife Management Area was just a quick get away to relax, refresh, and renew myself.

Happy Hiking!

Easter Family Hike to Wildlife Management Area in West Eastman Lake

Happy Easter to everyone! Today we celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, included an egg hunt with my toddlers and a short hike at Eastman Lake in Madera County.

I want to review our short family hike at the Wildlife Management Area. The hike ended in 20 mins due to the difficulty of the trail for my toddlers. The trail started off easy, but as soon as we reached a steep trail, we were having a difficult time to climb it. So we turned back and figured it was not a great trail for toddlers.

However, the scenery was beautiful. Green grass, wild flowers bloomed all over the vast foothills. It was wonderful to capture the moment. This trail is great for group hikes. I’m thinking of leading one soon.

All in all, thanks for reading until my next hike.
